Blue Cactus is a full-service restaurant located right on the busy promenade in Costa Adeje, offering diners a spot to unwind while soaking in sea views and the island’s vibrant evening light. It’s a place where the sunset becomes part of the experience, making it well-suited for those who enjoy dining with a scenic backdrop.

The atmosphere mixes relaxed dining with a lively bar vibe, especially in the evenings when live singers add a warm, social layer to the surroundings. The space feels welcoming, with staff who consistently come across as friendly and approachable, enhancing the overall experience without feeling overly polished or distant.

Blue Cactus attracts a range of guests—from travelers settling in for a relaxed meal after sightseeing, to locals stopping by for a drink and some good company. The food portions tend to be generous, leaning towards Spanish and seafood-inspired dishes, which can be ideal for sharing or satisfying bigger appetites. Across different visits, diners remark on the quality and freshness of the seafood and grilled items, complimented by a manageable price point that fits well with Tenerife’s mid-range dining options.

One practical note is on the cleanliness of the facilities; while the restaurant shines in most areas, some visitors have found the restrooms less fresh than expected—something to be aware of when planning an extended visit.

In short, Blue Cactus is best for those who prioritize a convivial atmosphere with views and live music, paired with hearty plates and a social bar scene. Early evenings as the sun dips seem to bring out the restaurant’s strengths, making it a comfortable stop for both casual meals and a relaxed night out by the coast.

Beautiful location on the busy promenade; Perfect to watch the sunset. Friendly staff. Ordered the chicken Fajitas and they were delicious. Only downside is the toilets which smell quite unclean. But overall a great restaurant with good prices!

Great food, great service and nice view. We had the schrimps and avocado salad, dorada fish, paella with sea food and fish soup. The portions were too big and could not finish them.

I visited Blue Cactus with my wife in may and was very impressed. We got the $30 mixed meat grill that came with 1li of sangria. The food was very good quality, the atmosphere was nice. The service was a tad slow but they were busy and it's a holiday afterall, I don't have to be up in the morning. Live music was also enjoyable. That all topped off with a great view of the sunset, what's not to like. I'll definitely come back. And recommend.
